Ride your bike, go fast and be active! That’s the message Brushy Mountain Bicycles is sending to the youngsters at the BURN 24 Hour Challenge. They’re offering $25 gift certificates to the fastest overall lap turned by any rider under 15 and to the youngest rider to turn a lap in the dark. Both boys and girls will be awarded for their efforts.

Get ready to toss the Huffy!
The first-ever Bikerumor.com Huffy Toss is coming to the BURN 24 Hour Challenge. The gang from Bikerumor will be racing with you this coming weekend, and when it’s all said and done, we’ll be seeing who can throw this bike (above) the farthest. Fame, glory and some prizes will go to the person capable of getting the Huffy from point A to the furthest point B.
And oh, yes, this Huffy will be harmed in the process…

We had one person whine until he got his own class, now we’ve had another. This time though, he’s bringing a sponsor with him. Thanks to our friends at Water-Keep, we are adding a Solo Male Masters 40+ class to the 10th edition of our fine race, and there’s cash up for grabs. Put the remote down and get out of your recliners old dudes. Come join the dash for the cash. We’ve got a handful of spots left so don’t be left sitting in that chair. Register today!
While we’re on pace to match record attendance at the B24, our entries by the ladies are, well, weak! So here’s the deal to encourage the ladies to come out and race: Registration fees at Bikereg.com have been rolled back to the previous registration period (3/16 to 4/15). This sweet deal is for the ladies only but to be fair to the guys, we’ll do something for you too. Enter promo code “Bikerumor.com” to save 10% on the current registration fees. These deals will expire with the close of online registration so there’s no excuse not to sign up now!
Bring some speed to the BURN 24 Hour Challenge and win one hundred dollars for the fastest lap time laid down during the daylight hours. Carolina West Wireless, the official wireless provider of the B24, is putting up the cash for the fastest male and female lap times turned between lap 2 and 7 pm on Saturday. Do you have what it takes or will you just phone it in!
Just after the race, Bikerumor.com will be pulling out its big box o’ schwag and throwing out lots of goodies for those hanging around until the final results are posted.
They’re working on a few other fun things to keep everyone entertained, so be sure to swing by their booth/pit area (they’re racing, too!) and say ‘hey’ to Tyler and the crew. Haven’t heard of Bikerumor.com? They’re serving up fresh cycling goodness every day, and their recent coverage of all the new bike parts unveiled at Sea Otter Classic is second to none!
