Course Description
The Dark Mountain trails in Wilkesboro, NC, are again home to the BURN 24 Hour Challenge. The BMCC makes constant improvements to the trail…if you’re a regular at the B24, you’ll appreciate the continuous refinements…and if you’re new to the trail, you’re in for a treat! The lap itself is around 7 miles or so. As with any XC course, it goes up and down, twists and turns.

COURSE MARKERS
Looking to pre-ride the course? Just head on over to the trail and look for these course markers. The BLUE arrows point you in the right direction for the race course. Click here to download the course map as a PDF.
Of course, there’s a good chance we’ll throw in something new for the race, and as always, there’s no telling where those pesky aliens will show up when the sun goes down.
While you’re here, check out the Over Mountain Victory Trail, too, which starts at the Ranger Station on the front side of the dam. It’s an out and back with fast, swoopy curves and rollers and is a blast to ride. Get more info on the trail network and property on the W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir website.
